A New Addition at RHS Garden Harlow Carr by Katherine Musgrove

Well the latest addition to our wonderful swing seat collection from Sitting Spiritually has now arrived in the garden here at RHS Harlow Carr.

I must say it’s a very handsome addition to the garden and will be much loved by our visitors. Not least because of the inlaid ammonite on the back of the seat. This is a beautiful addition to the seat and enhances it greatly. It has been placed at the east side of the garden where the other one was so visitors can overlook the lake and beyond into the woodland area.

The woodland is tremendous at the moment with an exotic palette of colours coming from the azaleas which if you are visiting you must head up to this area and enjoy a full immersive experience. The woodland and indeed the rhododendrons and azaleas have never looked better.

Just because we have out new swing seat in the garden doesn’t mean we have lost the other one, this has been moved to our lovely green oak timbered building known as The Lodge and it sits very well here: the two complement each other and our visitors are always grateful they can sit a while and enjoy a short rest, after all what is the point of visiting and not having time to contemplate?

So do pay us a visit and enjoy our garden and tarry a while on one of our lovely swing seats.
