Keeping Up.....

We had a wonderfully successful Chelsea Flower Show with the total number of commissions taken there our highest yet.  The undisputed stars of the show were The Yakisugi Swing Seat & the Floating Bench from our Simon Thomas Pirie Range.  They had garnered a huge amount of press attention leading up to the show, from The Sunday Times to The Observer, Mail on Sunday and many other glossies in between (see our Press Gallery) and many people sought us out to see the new additions.  This was really encouraging as it brought us a different kind of clientele onto the stand,  different to those who normally buy our more traditional swing seats and this was exactly what we were hoping to achieve by introducing a more modern range, so we are able to cater for both types of taste.  We will always remain a traditional swing seat maker, but moving with the times is also important to us & we had over the years been asked for a more contemporary range as well as our existing ones.

The Yakisugi Swing Seat certainly had its moment in the spotlight when we were asked if we could provide one for ‘Jardin Blanc’, Raymond Blanc’s very exclusive Chelsea hospitality area. Naturally the answer was yes and here are Martin and Celia enjoying a brief interlude on it during a very hectic Chelsea week.

So we returned, exhausted, but happy and with an exceptionally full order book for swing seats, pergolas, Rockabyes, benches & rope swings,  and the monumental mission of making those commissions and getting them to our customers in time to enjoy the Summer with their new arrivals.  But this is where we feel we are now somewhat old hands, and despite the commissions we took at Chelsea, and after it, exceeding our expectations, we have an exceptionally willing team of joiners who know that at this time of year it is all hands to the pump.

Everyone really does pull out all the stops and our mission is to get our valued customers commissions to them within 4-6 weeks and we earnestly adhere to this.  We are currently delivering from as far afield as Cornwall to Fife, and many areas in between, as well as Germany, Belgium, South of France, The Pyrenees, Malaga, and beyond so if you are thinking of commissioning us soon be assured we will get your commission to you in time to enjoy the Summer months.

We would like, here, to express our sincere thanks to Alex, Scott, James, Greg, Jerry & Neil, those joiners who we rely so heavily on at this time of year, they really do an amazing job for us.
