A first class product and so comfortable.
Our swing seat was delivered last week and we are delighted with it. The quality of the workmanship is first class and the seat will last for many years. The experience of buying it - from our visit to meet with Martin and Alex to see the range of seats in their lovely garden, agreeing with the details of our seat, and the final delivery and installation - all has been an easy and relaxed procedure. Since delivery, the weather has improved so that we can now experience the comfort of swinging gently with our evening drinks.

We are SO happy with our swing seat, and very happy about the whole Sitting Spiritually experience: from meeting Martin Young at his home in Lyme Regis (he even joined me on a short walk with my dogs before offering me a cup of tea), seeing the workshop where the first beautifully crafted seat was made, hearing the story of how Sitting Spiritually came about, touring his amazing garden and sitting on examples of the various swing seats and then making a decision about which seat would suit our needs, which arms we would like, what fabric on the seat cushion. The care and attention to detail which then followed as we followed our seat from conception to delivery was exemplary. And then the seat arrived, was put up in minutes, and we haven't stopped sitting on it since! The morning sun lights our seat perfectly for the first coffee of the day in our pj's; in fact, it's very hard to get out of the pj's and dress for work because it's such a pleasurable experience! And of course, a glass of something in hand at the end of the day as the sun descends is a pleasure of a different kind. We honestly couldn't be happier.

Fantastic quality, design and service
We've admired their swing seats for years, but sadly out of our budget. However, a recent sale of ex-display stock brought them within our price range. Martin was very helpful with advice and explaining delivery. A real bonus is the price includes delivery and assembly. Once up, we sat on it for the first time - what a surprise! For a wooden seat they are so comfortably and relaxing. The springs supporting it on the frame give it a gentle, smooth swing. Everyone who's sat on it loves it and it looks stunning against our flint wall. A nice touch was a follow-up email one how to maintain the swing and to keeping it looking great. Thank you

You can pay a £250 deposit at any time to secure your order, either via an online order or by contacting us separately. We will only take a deposit once you are fully happy to proceed.
Crafting Your Commission
Once you have fully approved your commission, our expert joiners get to work on creating your one-off piece. This typically takes around 4 weeks, but can often be quicker for special occasions.
Delivered to Your Garden
Once the swing seat is made, we'll send you a finished picture in the workshop before organising a delivery time and date to suit you. Our expert team will assemble the seat in your garden, ensuring it's hung perfectly and ready for you to enjoy right away.
Relax & Enjoy
Handcrafted using the finest timber available, we know your seat will provide years of enjoyment. We will be in touch in the coming weeks to make sure everything is OK and provide some tips on aftercare.

The Affinity, Harmony, Tranquillity & Serenity Range all share the same footprint in the various seat styles available. The below images are of one particular back style and are used to demonstrate footprint size rather than finished appearance.
Due to the handcrafted nature of our products the final footprint can vary slightly from seat to seat, measurements provided are for the largest expected dimensions. If you are intending to set a slab under each leg we suggest not doing so until you have taken delivery.
