This Accoya three seater spent a year and a half in the gardens at Stourhead before coming home to us. We are offering it once, restored by the makers who built it and resprayed in Lewesdon, at a one-off price below a new commission – with a clean, contemporary back across all three seats.
Built in 2024, it is young for a seat made to live outdoors for decades. Every seat that returns to us is brought back to its best: stripped and resprayed, fixings checked, and any worn part renewed by the hands that first made it. It arrives ready for many more years outdoors, with a twenty-year guarantee on structural defects.
The attached photos show the seat fresh from restoration in the makers’ workshop.

What is The Reserve?
A small, closed collection of individual Sitting Spiritually pieces, each offered once. Some were commissioned and never delivered; this three seater is one of the returners – built in 2024, it spent a year and a half in the gardens at Stourhead before coming home to our Devon workshop to be restored by the makers who built it.
Why is it priced below a new commission?
Because it has lived a first life on display – a year and a half at Stourhead, a short chapter for Accoya made to live outdoors for decades. Rather than commissioning a build, you are taking home a seat being brought back to its best: stripped, resprayed in Lewesdon, fixings checked and any worn part renewed by the hands that first made it. It carries a twenty-year guarantee on structural defects, and its time at Stourhead is part of the story, not a compromise.
What if it has already been ordered?
Then it is gone – there was one, and someone has taken it home. But while The Reserve remains open we are doing something we rarely do: order this design and we will craft yours new in our workshop – newly made rather than returned from Stourhead, with the full guarantee of a new commission – to this exact specification, at this price. Will more pieces join The Reserve?
No – this collection is these pieces alone, and once each has found its home it closes. What you see is what there is.
Can I see it before deciding?
Yes, if you are nearby – the seat is in our workshop through its respray, and you are welcome to visit before it leaves. Call Nick to arrange a time.
